1972 GT6 Convertible – SOLD

This is a 1972 GT6 Convertible, with a MKIV Spitfire body tub and boot lid and the bonnet of a GT6. It has been fully stripped, acid dipped and has a rebuilt engine, including Vandervell shells. The chassis along with the body was stripped to bare metal. The chassis is powder coated the same colour as the body and all hidden cavities in the body and chassis have been treated with waxoyl. The car has been carefully kept in a garage under a dust sheet, when not in use and is still, very much, in the condition it was when finished after the rebuild.

TSSC Stage 2 ported & polished ‘unleaded’ head. 6-3-1 full sports extractor manifold with full sports exhaust (stainless steel). Electronic ignition (Petronix). Adjustable SPAX .Triumphtune performance camshaft (Fast Road ). Updated front springs. Cross drilled discs. Green stuff pads and shoes. TSSC aluminium side panels. SU 1 3/4 HS6 Carbs (fully rebuilt by Burlen Fuel Systems. Ported inlet manifold to match the larger carb throats. Walnut dash and door cappings. Sundym windscreen and door glass. Halogen headlight upgrade. Copper brake and clutch pipes. Kenlowe electric fan.
